Hi, I'm not rich, have never been rich, but I have been dirt poor. I buy some things at Wal-Mart to save money and not everything is made in China, but every store, even the upscale stores [Nordstroms] have racks and racks full of stuff made in China. One example was when we had dogs. A certain brand and size of dog shampoo was sold at Petsmart for $12.95 and the same exact shampoo was sold at Wal-Mart for $2.97 per bottle. [that's not just small change] I'm retired now and like all the old people used to say to me, "I'm on a fixed income", and I don't want to waste what little I have, because of pride or principle. I also shop at Target and Costco a lot. And this wonderful internet has saved me a lot of money too. [Amazon Etc.]"
How did I miss this??
I would like to say this..You're forgiven. I am guilty as well..But, I have turned a new leaf. NO MORE CHINA~! It's not gonna be easy to do without..but, I want the jobs to stay in the USA..SCREW CHINA..BAN ME..GO AHEAD..

53Flying Cloud-excellent point. Buy USA and buy local!! You can find these characters everywhere not just Walmart-ever go to your county fair and people watch? I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder and life would be dull if we all looked, dressed and acted the same.

I am with you, Danalee....buy USA and buy LOCAL! I refuse to shop WalMart after learning about their purchasing politics....there are plenty of stores (or on-line retailers) to choose from. And, I am also a "fixed-income" person, just like 53FlyingCloud.

These folks can indeed be found just about anywhere, and they certainly make life more interesting!

You might be about 20 years late on the "no China" thing. Even if a product is stamped "made in the USA" the manufacturer is probably financed by China. We are firmly in the grips of the Red Giant....like it or not.
