Airstream on Google Earth

Can you find your Airstream on Google Earth? We were playing around with the new version (4) and took a look at our house. Couldn't figure out what that big white thing was in the driveway. Then we suddenly realized it was our Airstream! (See pic - Airstream is circled).

The best part is... we live in a deed-restricted community. Don't tell the head of the deed restriction committee! Oh wait, that's me! Ooops.

If you have a GOOGLE EARTH picture of your Airstream, post it here!

Right after you Tin! I believe Google Earth attachments were advocated by Silver Cabin and are now allowed.

Attachment vs Thumbnail

trying to get it to post as a Thumbnail, not an attachment. Oh well.

I used the "Paint" software to remove the coordinates of our home - privacy issue - so I didn't want to post a Googe Earth link.

Airstream at Home

Here's a picture of our Airstream on Google Earth. Except you can't see it because it's in this building.

Tin,

Really you removed the coordinates so the HOA wouldn't find you. I wish I had trees to hide mine in.

Google is having different resolution pictures for different areas.
In big agglomerations the high resolution pictures allow seeing the cars, while in remote areas lower resolution pictures make house barely recognizable.
My 40' motorhome is well recognizable on Google.
Actually they took the picture when I had it parked in specific way for the repairs, what allows me pinpoint the week when the picture was taken.
In August 2004.

Well I would love to have a picture of mine but Google doesn't currently have in motion pictures.

Google snapped our neighborhood's picture while we were out on a trip, but MS Earth got it while the trailer was home, AND before we put up the cover

I found a photo of mine in the PO's driveway! I used the old WBCCI #'s to locate a name and city, seached the name and got an address then Google earthed it and Bingo - there is my Airstream before I owned it!

Isn't this the "Birdseye view"?
Those are nice pictures, but rarely available.

My trailer is only at the house right before and after a trip, but Live Search Maps got a shot of it. The picture is 2+ years old because the tree behind my garage went down 2 years ago.

This IS a fun thread! We're a bit too rural for Live Maps - but Google Earth did pick us up through the haze. The red circle is the 2003 25' Classic... the green square is my husband's observatory for his astrophotography.

Here's mine. The 6" pixel resolution makes the photo very clear. You can even see the AS roof vents and hitch A-frame.
