What a hilarious (and somewhat sad) use for Airstreams. The novel ways people come up to leverage the beauty and cache' of the look never ceases to amaze me. As I was looking for one I saw some pretty nice units that had been modified for other purposes and some were done really well, others were a weekend hack job. Both of these look like they are well done. I am probably going to get in trouble for this, but a few years ago I was looking at a 22' that was really bad inside, having been used as a junk storage shed on a farm for many years, but the shell was darned good. I had thought it would make an excellent covered (and hidden) trailer for hauling my early corvette behind an Airstream Motorhome. Make the cut along the back body line and hinge the entire back up. Then sanity hit, but only after I was told by the fellow who owned it that he was going to restore it. I see it's still sitting full of junk. Barry

They really have a nice batch of Airstreams, Looks like some rare ones too.

The Diner if I'm not mistaken is available from Airstream from their comercial division. Airstream has made quite a few custom pieces over the years.
(just gotta use it)

The diner is great. I say leverage away. I've considered finding a small Airstream to covert to an office. Something that didn't necessarily have restorative value, but still had a good shell. Coffee shops, hot dog stands, mobile kitchens hotel rooms, the more uses creative people can find to convert Airstreams the better.
