Airstream Limericks

OK,

After reading in the 'Moderators are off-line....LET'S PARTY!' thread about a limerick thread, I thought that I should start one, so here is the first!

a girl once bought an old Airstream
to restore it she toiled......'twas her daydream
she spent $$$$, built and re-wired
and she just got so tired
but the final result was cookies and cream

OK Gang.........HAVE AT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There once was a man named Wally
Who loved his Airstream by golly
From Capetown to Cairo
No need for a gyro
This trekker for sure was jolly

There once was a young yak named Zack
Whose doc was a blundering quack
He took out Jack's spleen
And escaped in an Airstream
And now there's not a spleen in Zack

Wow, after being congratulated by 2air for my 500th post, I descend to this.

There was a young swine named Valentine
Who grew sick on strawberry wine
He sat in the mud
And puked up pink crud
But after happy hour he was just fine

(Forum rally inspired)

Some think Zinfandel is the most;
Some think only beer is to roast~
But in my Airstream,
Where I am the queen,
Merlot is the beverage to toast! ~G

There once was old tin in Nantucket
It leaked where a tree limb had struck it
From morning till night it sat, a sad site
Old Airstream that had kicked the bucket

There was a young lass from Nantucket
Who's eye did behold that old bucket
She polished and fixed and then stood transfixed
Bright bauble, it shone when sun struck it

There was a young lass on this forum,
Who never was high in decorum.
Her rivets were few, her ideas askew,
And her manners - I can only deplore 'em!

Lew, it would be tempting to reply, as my old granny would have said, "If the cap fits, wear it!", but I have to confess that the limerick is entirely a work of imagination, born out of the need to find two words to rhyme with "forum". That being said, you've got me thinking.....
Nick.

Airstream limericks

Hi Lewster,

Please do'nt start me on limericks. It took forever to get over the Airstream Haiku thing, And I'm still not totally cured.

On finding an Airstream abandoned in the woods...

While driving through the country one day,
My eyes noticed a spot of dull gray.
I became quite weak in my knees
As I peered through the trees
And saw an Airstream gone astray

There was an old trailer down the road.
But you could'nt see it cause the weeds were so growed.
Someone came around with a weedwhacker and found,
it was an old Airstream longing to be towed.

There was a poor lad from Austrailier
Who wanted a monocoque trailer
He wrote a bad cheque
To purchase the wreque
And got conqued on his head by the jailer

My Airstream is silver and curvy
But built to not be swervy
It keeps me inside
in comfort, with pride
My favorite choice for an RV

Hey! that wasn't "abandoned". it was "parked".

If I may make a few slight adjustments, so the sylables work out....

While driving through Rowley one day,
I noticed a spot of dull gray.
as I peered through the trees,
I went weak in the knees,
seems Chuck's Airstream had not gone astray

There was an old Airstream, a Bambi
Whose curves were quite simply dandy
But her fridge never fired
And her axle was tired
Good thing that her owner was handy

OK so the Bambi/dandy rhyme is questionable, but there you go.

Cheers,
Brian

Ahhh, air conditioning

A trailer nick-named the Towster
In hot weather became quite the roaster
A Penguin up high
Made the sweaty ones dry
So comfortable now is this poster.

There was an old sailor tied to the shore,
who could take to the high seas no more.
At his heart this was stabbin,
he bought an old Landyacht, and fixed up the cabin,
just like a vessel he had sailed years before.

Happy sailing ya,ll Bob
