Airstream El Stucko

Here's a first. A vintage airstream covered in stuco as a permanent guest house.

How do you tell it's an Airstream? I can't find it on Vintage Airstream Photo Archives

From the days of the cheap Yugo, in 1986 Saturday Night Live made a fake ad for the Adobe.

The shape of the rear of that trailer looks more like a Silver Streak then an Airstream to me.

Article stated that it was an old Airstream but they may have framed it before the stucco coat. Guess you would have to check from the inside out.

Yeah, certainly not an Airstream per se - but like Kleenex or Xerox - to many people any old trailer is an Airstream.

I was thinking it might be a Westwood (this blue one was restored by Craig Dorsey), or one the mid-30's United trailer, also pictured.

Bob,

My favorite park of this commercial was when they reshaped the front fender by hand after the accident. I was 9 when that skit was on SNL, but still remember it.
