Airstream Co-Dependent Syndrome

So how many of you are in a Co-Dependent relationship with your Airstream? This morning I went outside to see if I had any leaks from the evenings thunderstorms. I looked around and saw some water under a distilled water jug next to the wall. I figured it was a leak and I was almost looking forward to the challenge of finding this new leak. Well it turns out that the water jug had a hole in it and that was the source of the leak. There has got to be something sick about hopeing to find another leak.

You're losing it Perry. Just kidding.

I think we have also gained confidence should we have a leaking Airstream. I check regularly with a moisture detection meter, and look around. I think we may have the pressurized leak test every couple of year as well. That worked last fall, and confirmed what what the moisture meter already indicated but pinpointed the source.

If there is a leak, I think we can find it. And if we find it, I think we can fix it.

Yes, there is something sick about hoping to find another leak. However, there is nothing wrong with spending time in your Airstream looking for another leak and hoping not to find one!

Is it the thrill of finding a leak, or the innate fear of what will happen if a leak is allowed to continue?

Regards,

JD

Aluminitus should be classified as a medical syndrome. We need an Airstream Lobby (AKA) Airheads. We can be our own special interest group.
