For sure a bird could fit inside. It's a foot long (ball to bumper) and 6 inches wide. The door hole is 1 1/2 inches wide. Since we have ours inside on a shelf in the living room, I hope this does not happen.

That tree stand is massive. My wife wanted a tree to fill the room, it's 14 feet tall. The part of the stand that holds water is about 9 inches across. The stand weights about 20 pounds.

Wowwww!..14 ft. tall!..that's amazing..you must have those really high ceilings in your house!..getting off-topic: gone are the days where my husband and 2 sons and I used to go cut a tree down, haul it home, then put it up..we even tried buying pre-frosted ones which were pricey and decided to do it ourselves one year..that ended up costing us about $50 just buying enough of the can stuff to spray!!.. 3 years ago, we got really creative.. we brought in our 3 ft. rosemary herb plant, shaped it into a tree, put on fishing lures (my husband is an avid fisherman) we got rave reviews from family and friends!
Then 2 years ago, we decided to go in a different direction...we bought a faux tree, comes complete with lights and a box to store it for the rest of the year!..it works for us..no more dropped needles or sap!

My wife and I and the 3 dogs do just that. We get a permit from the forest service ($10) and drive up to northern Az and cut one down. I did streach the 10 ft limit that year. Here is a picture of my wife (the one with out a head) explaining to the girls about what to look for in a tree.

Cody,
We were on the Mugion Rim about 60 miles East of Payson AZ, near Forest Lakes.

Sounds like a neat place to go..never been there..have been to Scottsdale when it was 117degrees..we also took a ride to go see Frank Lloyd Wright's Taltesin (sp)

What was I thinking?..here's a pic of my little airstream model my son gave my husband for Father's day 2 years ago..it sits right on our shelf too in the living room it's about a foot long too from bumper to hitch. I went online and saw that you can but it for a lot more than what you got it for!!!

The bluebirds started showing up and I had to repair several wooden houses that were damaged by the squirrels. I started thinkin how an aluminum one would look...

It took a couple of hours but I now have a 13 panel birdhouse!...what about a zipdee awning ...

NICE! By far my favorite looking one so far. Did you line it with Reflectix?

I can see the pricing...scrap from a $800 interior re-skin project + a couple of band aids / quantity...

I'm thinking it would be easier to build a full sized 13 panel end cap...

Rich.

Someone gave me one exactly like the one you have.

Unfortunately, I don't remember the donor's name.
