Airstream Addiction

I notice that a lot of you Airforum members own more than one Airstream. When is is considered an addiction? When do you need therapy? Is that expensive?

I have aluminumitus but I don't believe that I have an addiction as I have only one Airstream. On second thought I may have an addiction as I only have one Airstream because that is all I can afford. If I could afford more maybe I would have many; oh my!

I keep my condition in check by subscribing to Airstream life, using my Airstream as often as possible, buying everything Airstream, etc.

At least I am not as bad as many of you.

We have only one so far... We certainly have our hands full (and our bank account empty) taking care of it! However, if a sweet deal came along, you never know...

I am in a 12 step program and plan to sell the Trade Wind soon. Then I will be a single Airstream owner.

There was a great deal on a very low mileage B190 recently in North Little Rock that was a close call though. I talked trade for my F150 with the dealer, but fortunately came to my senses.

I notice that you own a 2008. We started out with a 2005 International CCD 25' when we sold it we have equal amounts tied up in the PURCHASE PRICE of about 11 vintage units as we did in one new unit. You'll notice I put emphasis on the purchase price- when you start totaling up restoration costs that's a different story! But are trailers are appreciating in value not depreciating (thats how we are justifying it anyway ).

I never looked at it that way. Instead of a 2008 I could have owned several vintage units. I guess I am addicted.

I love our 34. We moved up from a 30 and I'm amazed at the difference in space. It just seems so much bigger inside. I do like to rough it - I don't carry a satellite dish. So I'm not the guy to slap you but there will be a lot of others on this forum who can do that.

I think we're all addicted just by owning an AS. And I believe that once you own two of something, then you become a collector. So, Kay and I are addicted to airstreams, and we're Mustang collectors (own 2 - '95 (Pony) & '05 (Muffin), both GT convertibles). Now if I could just figure out how to tow Little Girl with Muffin, Id have it made!

We're addicted but our pair includes an Avion as well.

It's vintage thing for us.
