People don't realize what Neil has to go through to participate here. He's at the most end of the road sub-56K internet connection imaginable. Being a member probably feels more like 6 rivets to him. That's not possible -- so Neil, karma your way!

Having been to the end of Neil's road, slow internet is a small price to pay for the view from his patio while enjoying a "Placerville Pacifico" . DG

Congratulations on becoming a Master Riveter.
About that internet communication thing...Have you considered setting fire to your neighbor's SOB, and using it to send out smoke signals to us? Might be easier...

Wow, I don't know if I could even hang here without broadband. Many congrats on your new Rivet Master status. And may there be more bandwidth in your future.

Hi, Neil. Way to go. "Rivet Master" How many spaces do you have? Sign me up for a pull through. I thought I was the only one left still useing dial up service. I plan to change that when we find our retirement home. So glad to have been able to meet you and Lynn in person and be you next door neighbor, even if it was, only for a few days.

Congrats Neil. I just got off dialup last fall. We had about 20-25 kbps max connection. Painful. Satellite was our only other option, but too expensive. ATT finally installed DSL in our neighborhood and woo hoo...what a difference. That's the price we pay for rural living... but I wouldn't trade it for anything!

Yes, that is the same internet senario we are experiencing. However, AT&T says their lines to us won't support DSL.

Neil.
