Aero Bed

I want to get an air mattress for my dinette as I'm expecting company and the CCD cushions are NOT comfortable for an adult to sleep on.

Is the much advertised "aero bed" really any better than a Coleman one I can get at WalMart? They really look the same and cost about half.

We have the Aero Bed topper which is a thin dual chambered mattress cover (about 2 " high) that lays on top of our Queen mattress. It has dual controls to allow individual comfort inflation levels. Makes our bed feel a lot like our home Select Comfort mattress. Cost was about $100.

We also have an Aerobed at home when my son overnights. It's a lot more comfortable than sleeping on the sofa. I haven't seen the Coleman bed but the Aerobed's electrical pump fills the bed in about 30 seconds max. Because of the giant valve, emptying the bed takes not much longer.

Paula,

Another option:

We got a 2" thick Memory Foam topper this summer for our 22' CCD dinette. We got it from a local mattress store. Cost was $180. Used over the seat cushions, it completely smooths out that hump made by the table resting on the seats. During the day the topper goes on the front bed.
