Pickup date for Goliath, post warranty work, is Monday 28th. In addition to warranty items, I had a slow leak in driver side rear outer tire. The took it to a local tire shop nearby and it seems I picked up a sliver of metal on my trip...I guess road debride. Not repairable, so I have to ante up for a new tire, same make, of course. Just what i don't need just before Christmas!

Goliath is safely plugged in at the storage lot. We dodged the snow storm that served up a heavy dose of really good powder snow to the mountains. The resorts and skiers are happy. I would be as well if I could still ski. I really miss skiing. Unfortunately, that activity is all in the past for me.

Winter has finally arrived in Colorado. About a foot of snow in the mountains yesterday and more on the way. Our temps here in Centennial are low 30's over the next week, windy and brisk. I love the snow, inside looking out, but, hate driving in it. Glad I didn't need to drive Goliath the 20+ miles today on snowy roads. It was windy and brisk out today.

Time for Christmas decorations now. Deb put out a few things Friday. A black teddy bear, mom & baby polar bears, white berry tree, 2 of the heard of deer, (there are 10 total), and 3 projector twinkle lites that look so pretty twinkling on wherever they show....the house, in the trees. There will be a total of about 15 of those lites when it's all out there. I so love Christmas.

Made a run to COSTCO for Christmas goodies this afternoon. Cans of English shortbread cookies, butter cookies, Vienese puff pastries, boxes of chocolates, fresh fruit: pears, tangerines...and my favorite, tiramisu! Some for extra gifts for grands and some for here at home to serve up during the holiday season. YUM!

So far, I only have two gifts bought, but, I'm working on it. I did find a couple comforter sets that I just had to have for my bedroom. I like to get gifts and get them under the tree the first couple weeks of December. Tree will go up tomorrow.

Glad you got Goliath home and tucked in safely before the snow came.

Deer for Christmas ornaments..... I think I can skip that this year, as there's usually a herd of real whitetail deer outside my door, morning and evening. Those will have to do. I plan to put up some lights around the fence I built so Blackie can have a yard. I'd like to outline the roof, but climbing a ladder to get them up there may not be the safest thing to do at my age. Kinda like the skiing thing--not any more, but I enjoyed it once.

Today I finish winterizing the Airstream and go to town for groceries, more Christmas lights, and to refill a propane bottle from the trailer. Camping in my daughter's driveway in cool weather burned about one bottle a week for the furnace.

Hope you and yours enjoy the holiday season.

Mimi, lucky you...to have your own herd of deer in your front yard! Mine have Christmas lights on them, though! No, we don't climb up on ladders to hang lights....stopped that several years ago. Instead, I buy the projector lights, (several), that project twinkle lights onto the house, into trees, anywhere they land. And when it snows....absolutely a Christmas wonderland!

Christmas tree is up, (has lites already on it), our cat thinks it's for him, as soon as it went up, he lays on the tree skirt, spends most of day there. Nights, he's on my bed, along with Mikki and Nikko. (Ah, they do have a tough life!)

Completed my Christmas gift shopping online, gifts ship to my grand girls and family on the PNW coast. I'll only have a few to wrap here, to go under tree. As I have aged, just celebrated #78, I try to make life simpler and less work intensive.

I enjoy Christmas, my favorite holiday and look forward to it! MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONE!

I've been doing a bit more Christmas shopping....for myself. I bought the complete set of "Downtown Abbey" DVD, and two hard bound books: "Killing the Rising Sun" and Killing General George Patton" (coupons are great!). Then I bought Lancolm Tresor set, my favorite fragrance.

It is getting pretty nippy here....25* tonight....maybe the right time for a little cognac for a warmup. Snow coming next Tuesday...they are not saying how much, just "maybe a lot"! That either means very little or one heck of a lot! We'll see!

Our temps really took a nose dive! Snow tonight and tomorrow, high in the low teens!
Drug out the snow blower to prepare for snowstorm. Electric start ...does not start. Repair guy coming tomorrow to tune up/ repair in home. Hope it goes O.K., as we really need that snow blower!

Snowblower is now repaired, ready to go. It should come in handy this next week, as more snow heads our way. A bit warmer today, colder temps next. Rain, then snow for tomorrow, then it looks like snow for next several days. Winter wonderland coming!

Hi Gerard! Yep, it seems you have the upper hand with snow....so far. I hope you have a snow blower...as you really need one. Arctic blast is dropping into the lower "48", so I suppose you folks have some pretty cold temps as well. Say hello to your DW for me. I hope we'll get to meet up this next camping season. God bless you both. Evelyn.

We're about to get another round of Arctic Blast tonight, along with a bit of snow here. Our temps are set to go below 0 tonight with a high tomorrow of 7*! The mountains and ski resorts are seeing a lot of snow pretty much every day, so any skiers out there....the resorts are ready for you here in Colorado! Makes me wish I could still ski. I really loved it and miss not being able to do it now.
I keep myself busy indoors, painting, etc. looking forward to next season's camping and travel!

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR to all! Evelyn.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Ice storm here, fortunately no wind so almost all still have power.

Florida bound in two weeks.

A "bit of snow"? Now at 8" and still snowing. We are currently under a severe windchill warning... -15 to -25 windchill. High actual temp for today, 6 *. Deb had to go to work this morning...dressed like the abominable snowman!

I am glad I don't need to go out. I get to enjoy the beautiful winter wonderland from the warmth of indoors! Yeah!

Snow still on the ground, although not so cold today. More snow due for Christmas Day.
Off now to COSTCO for final shopping for food for Christmas Day.

Thank you, Gerard. I look forward to it. Your card will be welcome when it arrives. It is unfortunate that few folks send Christmas cards anymore. I hope you have included your return address, as I would like to reciprocate. What is the difference of Eastern rites Christmas?

A blessed and MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and Laura! Evelyn.
