Rodney, great work, as usual. I've finally made some time to devote to my photos and have added to the web site--even some color work. The beach scenes really are color, but the backlight makes them look like tinted B&W. the down side is that I haven't had time to go camping, so the Airstream photos have been neglected.
Where are you these days and how is the thesis going?
Sometime in the last 24 hours my photography site passed the 70K hit mark, thanks to all of you who have stopped by my online galleries. Feel free to leave comments or sign the guest book if you happen to stop by in the future.
Love the photo sets. I especially like the "trunk" on the Land Yacht. I guess that dispells the urban myth that you can't put anything on the bumper of an Airstream.
On the link to your featured item in post #14, I'm getting a "bad image reference" message.

Thanks for the kind words! The reason you got that message is due to the fact that the featured item rotates on a fairly frequent basis. For example, I replaced it again just this morning. The master link to the portal for my galleries is the only link that is really durable to any extent.
I love your pictures, I swing by and check out the site for inspiration. I have recently taken up photography and am working on my picture a day project. It really makes me look at the world differently (constantly framing up shots in my head), and I am enjoying thinking about what I can get a picture of after work to meet my 'quota' I'm also learning a great deal about our fancy-pants digital camera. It does more than I know how to do at this point. If you have any suggestions for newbies other than 'take lots of pictures', feel free to offer
Love the b&w. I have been into photography since I had a brownie in third grade.
I enjoy using a Yashica Mat 124 also, and have had one for 30 years.
There is just something about a good black and white shot that speaks to me....

Thanks Rick. I may toss an entry into the mix at some point. Just have to see.

Steph, I cant think of a better way to get better, and you are right; shooting alot changes how you see the world even when you are not using the camera. I see tones and shapes and lines that I never used to.

Im with you on this one Alan, I hope to get the large format camera out this semester and burn some film. As much as I love my digital, film is its own special thing.
Strange, I just visited, on a different computer, and a different ISP, and it still shows 99502 visits. Maybe I should disable my webcam, so it doesn't know it's me...

The counters only update every 12 hrs I think (maybe daily) so hits don't show up that fast. By the way, I'm not trying to instigate a hit fest- just pleased that folks are seeing the images.
