You can do it, Maggie

Somewhere on your Interstate is a tire pressure placard. I have seen them inside the driver and passenger doors, and the underside of the hood. This placard will tell you the manufacturers recommended pressure. The recommended pressure may not be the same as the maximum allowable pressure which is molded into the tire sidewall. If you can't find the placard, the pressure should be in your manual. It may be different from front to rear.

Looking forward to meeting you at Alumalina or Falluminum.

Al

I'll find it. Thanks, you two.

Allumalina it will have to be, as I will not be at Falluminum.

See you there,

Maggie

Evenings on the IPad:

“And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.”

Maggie, my husband has been struggling with chronic pain and is undergoing frustrating surgeries to try and alleviate it. This quote you posted about coming through the storm is perfect for him right now so, I'm going to share it with him. Hope you have a happy weekend!!

It's a really good one, isn't it.

It is incredibly strengthening and comforting to read the words of others that so fit how you are feeling, your situation, whatever.

I'm sorry for your husbands' chronic pain, Paddledipper. I cannot imagine living with that.

Wishing the two of you comfort and courage,

Maggie

We keep our tire pressure gauges in our consoles or glove boxes -- easy to get to and we always know where they are.

Another thing, that is good to check to see what is printed on your Interstate regarding manufacturer's suggested pressure, but that wouldn't be true if you had changed the tire type/style. We always check to see what each tire has printed on it to know what pressure to inflate to. A point in fact; we receive monthly reports from On-Star for various items on our tv, including what our tires are inflated to and if they need attention. Well, we changed out our tires and as it is interesting to read what On-Star is saying, we don't go by that report for tire inflation, we use the pressure printed on our tires.

Thanks, Deb.

I do have the pressure gauge right where I can easily get to it, just need to use it for the first time.

Thank you for the quote, Maggie.
Looking back, I don't know how I made it through some of the events of this life, but I have and know that I have been changed by them, for the better.
Be at peace and be well.

Thanks, Pagey.

I wish I could say this is the only life-altering event I have experienced, but it is not, and I understand exactly what you are saying.

I will say, however, that this one has been a first, and by far the worst.

That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right? I am certainly better, 5 months plus, and stronger, and already different in some respects......I can tell.

It is the get-up-every-day, put-one-foot-ahead-of-the-other, do-your-part thing, I firmly believe. Trust that it will all work out for the best, even if you cannot see how that can possibly be.

Indeed, some days it is all that keeps one going, isn't it? You have to have faith that things happen for a reason, and just go on, go on, go on.

I am making baskets this afternoon, from this new pattern I found. Crocheting them out of sisal twine, a natural color and kind of a brick red. Fun.

Going to tidy and pack the Interstate tomorrow, and head a bit north Monday for a couple of weeks.....after my dental appointment.

Maggie,
Here is a link to some 12volt and other types of compressors.
1 Cubic Foot Per Minute (CFM) | Single Stage Electric Air Compressors | Air Tools + Compressors | Northern Tool + Equipment

Adding air when you need it so you don't have to hunt for a compressor and drive on a low tire.

Imagine the looks you will get when you do it yourself!

Hmmmm, nifty.

I have a 12' extension cord for my 12volt thingy, too.

Might have to get one of those. They look small enough I could stow one without too much trouble.

Thanks!

Where did you get the extension cord? I've never understood why those 12v compressors won't reach the back of a pickup let alone an AS
