A sign you will only see in "TEXAS". Who said you shouldn't mix guns and liquor?

This is a legitimate business in a small town between Houston and San Antonio.
Nowhere but Texas.

Sorry, no pics.

I have seen a similar establishment in Carrizo Springs, Texas too. Still Texas, but the locals pointed it out with pride. OK, with a laugh too. Even they were impressed when I told them about the Hairport/Gunroom here in Little Rock, Arkansas. That's right, a beauty salon/gun shop. Unfortunately, it is no longer in business. I did visit it, though. Just couldn't resist.

Nothing like picking up a six pack and a .45 in the drive thru.

So, you could, in theory, buy a 5th, buy a gun, and then use the gun to hold up the package store where you just bought the gun and have a drink to celebrate!

OK, I know, the package store owner most definitely has a gun to protect against such occurrences.

If you are ever through Shiner ,Texas there is a great little shop called "Beer and Antiques"
The charming owner has a variety of antiques and every beer you can imagine.

I had a friend who used to say he was going to become a millionaire by opening an ATF store - Alcohol, tobacco, and firearms. I think he was onto something there...

Love the "sharp edges" sign.

In Ely, MN. Glass and metal containers are not allowed in the Boundary Waters. Just seems wrong...

Funny I had never heard the term "package" store until we went to visit wifes family in Georgia. On the drive there I went into a store and asked where the nearest "liquor" store was and they had that funny look on their face and asked whats a liquor store.

I was wondering what a "package" store was. It's a liquor store here in Co. and west.

Google "Ice house" and "Texas". It's more or less a drive thru beer store. Looks kinda like a barn with beer, big enough to drive yer pick up thru. In the 10 or so years we lived in Texas, was one of our favorites (along with the brisket place around the corner). Vintage Republic of Texas. I love that state. Best folks on the planet.
