A Plethora of Airstreams

Janet, me and the Minuet were traveling West on I-84 through the Columbia Gorge (Oregon) Saturday afternoon, and we saw 6 Airsteams traveling East. Not sure if they were together, but they were all seen within an hour.
In our area we are lucky to see one Airstream on the road in a week.
I was just wondering if anyone knows what was going on?

There was a gathering in Sisters, Oregon at a quilt festival. You may have seen them leaving the rally??? At least that is my guess.

They must have been together, I've never seen six airstreams on a whole trip, let alone within an hour. I'll bet they were heading for the region 10 rally in Idaho, starts on July 21st.

That would be a record "on the road sighting" for us.

The forum members at the Midwest Rally at Mackinaw were definitely not alone. In addition to the seven of us at the park, we saw 3 ~25's heading southbound I-75 on the way there, there was an Ambassador already at the park and a regal old 78 Sovereign pulled in, fellow was 84 and had bought it brand new! There was a 70's era Safari 23 behind him in the park, too. In the next park over I kept seeing the front of a semi polished vintage (60's) camper, and finally pulled in one day to check it out. It was a 68 Ambassador and it was a beaut! Someone had started to polish it. Right across from it was a 34' triple axle monster too, with red stripes. Later, I was walking in our park and found two more 25' Excellas! Total that with the one we passed on the way home, and the one we saw at a campground as we passed it, that makes....10, not counting us 7 in the park and two more in yards. Grand total of 19 seen on this trip of 4 days!
