This could start a whole new discussion and types of wood to be used. For example, this appears to be a birch log on a lightweight trailer. On a heavier trailer, would oak be better? Would heat buildup lead to bark separation? Would poplar give a softer ride and save wear and tear on the trailer? How do you mount Centramatics on spruce?
