Hi Gail, and thanks.

The Tenement Museum was excellent, and the weather has been perfect for walking about the city.

I don't think I mentioned that I left home Wednesday without my crochet hooks and yarn to work on.....

Already experiencing withdrawal, bought a crochet hook and yarn the first day at the Wards 5 and 10 cent store in Closter.....Joseph needed a hat, anyway.

Picked up some more yarn today....enough to get me home, where I have plenty.

Mmmmm....Brooklyn Flea...fun!

An indoor flea market, with lots of high quality handmade items, as well as antiques, books, vintage clothing, etc., and food vendors.

Busy and bustling, found a pretty crackle glass piece to add to my collection.

Enjoying darling daughter and sweet SIL...she gets up early with me and we have coffee together while he sleeps in a bit...we are more morning people, him not so much.

Not being a cat person, I don't get cats, really....trying to pet and play with the house cat last night, be friendly to her, just because....she hissed loudly at me and then bit my hand, hard.

Doesn't like to be played with, apparently, likes to be petted but rather particular about where and how.

Cats. I'll take a sweet dog any day.

She's a mutt cat...a booger cat.

Dogs just like to be touched and petted and loved on....they are not conditional and persnickety about it...like cats.

My daughter says Bella is a Bronx cat....she has an attitude.

SIL's mother made for me a little photo fob, for lack of a better description...with a tiny photo charm on it, of Doug and I....dancing together at the wedding a couple of years ago.

Me with my hair up, full makeup and false eyelashes...he in a tux, kissing me on the cheek.

So sweet.

Its why I don't do cats. Our son and his girlfriend have six, I get along with two of them. Grew up near NYC, at 10 used to ride the train in, take subways go to Yankee games, four of us all on our own. Nice times back then.

Enjoy your trip

Thanks, Bud.

Nope, kids alone on the subway these days will get their parents in trouble....and that's the truth.

Maggie,
Cats are...a different breed...of cat! LOL! I have a mutt-cat black on white spots. Loves me, plays with me....hates everyone else...much like the one you spoke of. Deb has a Mainecoon....sweetest cat to everyone, which is good, because he is huge and could do some damage if he was not so loving! They all have different personalities, as do dogs and humans. All are rescues from local Dumb friends league. They all seem to know they found the right home and are well loved, and love us back...our own little furry family...love it!

If dogs could talk, they would tell you how much they love you. If cats could talk, they wouldn't.

From a sign in my Vet's office. 😄😄😄

We had cats.. Outside.. Mousers. We rarely fed them so they kept the night crawly things in check. That is where they belong.

We once tried to have an "inside cat"... I left the door open and she never came back inside.

Hi, me too. Ironically, when ever I go to a cat owner's house, the cats always come to me.

At JFK, after an amazingly quick and seamless checkin and sojourn thru TSA. It was much longer and more thorough at O'Hare, for some reason.

Made a run this am with darling daughter to Trader Joe's on Staten Island, then out for pizza before my drop at the airport. Have had a very good and very relaxed visit with them....now looking forward to picking up Lily and getting home.

SIL has seen his vision problems resolve with the dropping of his blood sugar. Seriously...he took his glasses off early last week and hasn't needed them since, after wearing them since he was in high school. Yikes.

Settling myself in to crochet til boarding.
