Not much going on here, just checking in.
The last week or so has been a bit stressful, but the dust is settling and normalcy is returning to the little house. Life.
We have had a
lot of rain here today, but Preen is down, mulch is down, beds around the house are cleaned up, my yard guy mowed yesterday…and I am working on cleaning out the 8’ square bed in the back yard that I took RoundUp to last year.
It’s the last thing needing done, because I don’t want to do it.
But, I’m doing it, making myself, some every morning the past few, but for today because I had an appointment and needed to stay clean.
Going to put down new and better weed cloth, then mulch, then decide on plants.
Not only needs to be done, but is
overdue.
The Meier store here is my “go to” for many things, tho I must admit I am a WalMart fan for most staple items…because, they are just cheaper at WalMart.
But, tho I kind of hate that Meier tracks purchases I make with my debit card, they then send me great coupons for items I buy regularly.
How can you argue with free eggs, free milk, $1 off sugar, $2.75 off ground beef, etc., which apply even if the item is already on sale.
Sometimes if there is a good coupon but I am not going to use it, I will tuck it into that item and leave it for someone else, because why not?
Sometimes I don’t need that $1.00 off Dawn dish detergent because I already have two under the sink in my kitchen.
I remember the days when expected prices on the grocery list were carefully totaled up, to be sure I had enough money for my purchases…and, if I didn’t, the list was modified.
A few dollars saved here and there makes a difference to many, so clip your coupons, people, and if you don’t need those really good ones leaving them for someone who does.
