Maggie, I finally got a signal, so on forum, for now, anyway.
I'm about 500 miles from the PWC, O'n @ a Walmart....free is good! Glad all is repaired in your interstate. $$$?! YIKES! Say hi to Gail, glad you girls had a good time.

I'm working my way home...one night at a time. I'll get there, hopefully before snow comes to Colorado! It can come early some years. Safe travels, my friend.evelyn.

Hi Bud, good to hear from you.

I've had this passive approach to some things, apparently, that they will take care of themselves....going to do a better job.

Have a safe trip home.

Glad all is well, Evelyn.

What an adventure you've had!

Gail and I made the last of my bread dough from the weekend into pan bread for breakfast yesterday morning....yum! She had not had this before, but I think now is a believer.

Loaded up on pears from her tree, did a small bit of choring, and made a beeline for Silver Falls SP, which Gail said was a can't miss, and was fortunate to find a spot for the night....first in the horse camp, then in a cancelled site with W/E, which was great. A bit of heat from the heat option on the AC is much appreciated these cool Oregon mornings.

Followed for awhile yesterday a boxy old aluminum Vagabond trailer, which I don't think I've seen before....reminiscent of our first RV, a 77 Barth. Cool.

4 Airstream trailers in my loop when I got up this morning, no one I knew.

Got a little water and a hot shower, on the road in light rain thru the narrow and twisty back roads to Hwy 22.

A beautiful time of year here, lots of Christmas tree farms and bushes full of fuschia blossoms, something I haven't seen since the last time we were in Ireland.

We get fuschia only in hanging baskets at home, and must keep it in shade and tended carefully to keep it alive.

I am enjoying the Oregon interior.

That's a great picture of you and Gail! Both of you look very happy.

If you send something to TinCrumpet, give her my regards. I was an avid follower of her thread, and almost cried when she quit posting. Hope she and her family are doing well.

Glad to hear you moving toward "ownership" of vehicle maintenance. Knowledge is power, and there are a few safety-related things you shouldn't trust to just anyone.

Have a great trip home.

Maggie, you were SO CLOSE to us! Augh! You could have stayed here instead of the horse camp and had almond and pear pie! Darn! We live right outside of Silverton.

Happy Travels to you on your way home!

The pup has been petted, and I threw in a few for the old yellow tomcat as well.

With some people, you just connect. You get them, they get you, your souls speak to each other, and in the same language.

So true.

Booooo....I didn't realize that!

Would have much rather stayed with you guys, didn't have you marked on my map and just didn't think about it.

Next time.

Hi FaN.

We were all hoping you would quietly appear at our Fort Stevens gathering.

Had the most beautiful drive from Silver Falls to Bend today....road snaking thru the forests of the Willamette and Deschutes NF, along rivers and creeks. Slow going, but lovely.

Lots of little NF campgrounds right along the river... if I was not due to meet Bob & Page tomorrow, I might have tried to find a site.

Made a stop at TJoe's in Bend, and then lucked into an empty campsite here in one of those "Resort" places I tend to avoid to keep travel costs manageable.

However, not much east of here on the road I'm traveling, but here there is not only a campsite but cable tv, wifi, and all the other amenities....so, I'm in.

I've done enough mooch-docking the last couple of weeks that it is justifiable.

Right in town, but well off the main highway, and no concern here of cougars wanting to snack on my sweet Lily.

A cougar-sighted-in-park notice was posted at Silver Falls, and those warnings have been almost everywhere I've stayed out here. Yikes.

Going to have a glass of wine and watch some mindless television tonight.

Got a signal...to get on the forum! Yeah! Glad all went well and you' all tucked in for the night. I'm at an RV park in Glen ferry, Idaho. Stayed in a Walmart last night, at Island city, so this one is FHU @ $25....not bad.

Sandwich for dinner, read a bit, then night-night. Be well. Safe travels. Evelyn.
