Hi Gail!

We've had a nice walk....there is a beautiful, rushing creek here, with huge flat stones one could sit on...tho the footbridge to the stones and water is that cattle guard grate material, and Lily won't set foot on it.

Still, very pretty and she got to rip around a bit.

Hi Gail...and, yes, I am enjoying visiting with Bob and Page.

There is also a nice group of folks who co-own, run, and care for this place.....everyone is very friendly.

The thing about rallies....you get lots of snippets of time with lots of people, hard to really converse and get to know anyone.

It is nice to have more time to just visit.

I have introduced them to the PocketEarth app, also told them of E&S Sales in Shipshewanna, IN. They are vegan, and Page cooks.

They will be making a stop on their way west, where they will be work camping at Yellowstone for the season...Bob will be working doing RV repairs at the garage there.

I had told Bob yesterday of the problem with my Rhino sewer hose, and he said he could and would cut those areas down for me.

Bob is a master mechanic and his tow vehicle carries all the tools of his trade. That's what I needed....a hero, with lots of tools.

He brought down a power something and shaved it all off bit ago....after which I reached underneath and connected the hose to the Interstate...on the first try.

Hi Maggie. Glad your visitors include a "hero with tools"! I know that fitting was a huge source of frustration....now, all better! So nice to have time with friends, especially after a length of time alone. I treasure my alone time, however, I also need a significant amount of time with live people to visit and just 'be with'. We all need a certain amount of people time! No man...or woman...is an island....nor should we be in isolation for too long....lest we ask and answer our own questions.....then, we are in deep, deep trouble! LOL!

This, of course, does not include the conversations we have with our doggies! Or those we have with our lost loved ones....those are ours....no one need know......

How are your owies? I hope they clear up soon, as well as the soreness and pain that accompany them. Be careful out there. God bless.
Evelyn.

The owies are better every day.......I'm going to try a lap or two around this campground on my little bike tomorrow.

Level, paved road.

I am thinking that Evelyn might be interested in the modification to the sewer hose that you did as she is getting an Interstate as well. Maybe the factory has already sorted out the issue. She should make sure to put it on and get it off at the dealers to know that she can do it.

No, we're not in that much trouble until we start giving ourselves wrong answers.

Evelyn has a new Interstate, mine is an 06.

The sewer connection on the newer models is more user-friendly.

And, as Bob likes to quote from The Red Green Show, "If they can't find you handsome, they can at least find you handy". 😀

Bob is handsome and handy.

Easter Sunday, not at home. Tho an avowed agnostic, all holidays are celebrated with family.

First time I have not been with family on this holiday in probably 45 years, but it's okay, as there is family here of a different sort, and I will be home in just over a week.

Have a picture of my grands from this morning, in their going-to-church finery.

Picked up a ham slice the other day, and am making this corn and grits dish to go with it, that is delicious.. Dinner....served.

If I have posted this before, I apologize.. it is really good, and easy to put together.

Creamy Grits & Corn

1 cup coarse yellow grits, cooked in 5 cups water with 1 teaspoon salt
1/2 pound good bacon, diced and cooked til crisp
1 cup fresh or frozen corn, sautéed til lightly browned in a bit of bacon grease
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup sliced green onions
1/4 teaspoon each hot pepper sauce and ground black pepper

Mix, serve hot. Yum!

Nice to see Bob and Page, but there still is no Airstream behind the "truck".

There is indeed an Airstream behind their truck, Vince....a 31 footer, I believe.

And, it is beautiful.

We are here....but, where are you.

We could have cooked Easter dinner together.

I know you are on a project....take care.

Hi Maggie,

What length rhino sewer hose did you get? Do you happen to have the part number? We want to replace our hose as well and want to make sure it will fit in the tube.
Thanks in advance and enjoy your Sunday!

Thanks, ladies.

I got a 10' Rhino hose that expands to 15'. WalMart had it, and I like the expandable feature, as my compartment only carries a 10' and sometimes you need longer than that.

It won't fit in my compartment, so I carry it rolled up and in a mesh laundry bag on the driver's side step.

Maggie, I am glad to read that your injuries are getting better. As we age, injuries come easier, and stay longer. Deb injured her back...trying to shovel 2+ feet of snow off our driveway, with a drift up to the Windows between bot SUVs. Then, the next morning,I tweaked my sciatica while trying to shovel a path to my SUV to go in for my iron infusion # 3. So,both of us are still sore, but, getting better. DARN SNOW!

Mimi, yep, you're right....wrong answers will be worse.

Gearheart, Maggie is right..."Goliath" shall be much easier to deal with those issues. JC has indeed worked that kink out. Thank goodness.

Maggie, that grits recipe sounds yummy, very southern style cooking. My grands came yesterday for early Easter dinner.....ham, scalloped potatoes, salad, cheesecake. While they were here, they finished snow shoveling, assisted in packing up the Pathfinder and Bambi for me. That was greatly appreciated by Deb and I .....our backs were grateful! Today, I finished up a bit more packing of essentials, just have to take food out and hookup the Bambi today....then I'll get in and go in early AM.

Happy Easter to all! Evelyn.
