67 Overlander on Ebay for 48k

Hi Gang,

There is a "restored" 67 Overlander on ebay for the unheard price of 48k.
Inside rebuilt with 1' oak cabinets, done in a cowboy theme.

The axles look worn. The price blows my mind.

In comparison, also on Ebay is a 07 31ft Classic, one owner, mint condition for 49k. I would rather spend that kind of $ on an almost new unit.

The Overlander seems to be in the classifieds here.

Wow!

1967 Overlander. Not my taste, but looks nice. If you look close there is mixed plumbing and some sort of patch on the fender. Is the beauty only skin deep?

Probably. I remember these Ebay Airstreams being referred to as polished turds.

Right- doesn't appear to have new axles. BUT- it does have new switch and receptacle covers! Heck of a deal.

yep, axels are shot.

Someone spent some time on this. My taste No Way..

I figure if your going radical custom you better plan on keeping it. It's going to be hard to find a buyer. especially at that price.

Sure I'm redoing mine. But no whacked out inside like that. The red is something else.

I am always amazed at the time, money and effort some put into renovations without replacing the running gear. It seems to me that all that work will be ruined due to a rough ride. We changed our axles before doing anything else and it sure made a huge difference.

This unit appears to be priced for Hollywood. A peson is going to have to be smoking wacky weed to be able to stand the colors. It's easy to tell the axles are shot. I was told once that you should never question taste. In this case you need to figure where the taste was.

Wow all that red is really something to look at. That is true when you go with a theme be prepared to keep it yourself. Not many people will pay for what you thought was a great idea/theme. And they will surely not pay that much.

Let's all hope this unit sells for the asking price. Like it or not, if this one brought that kind of money, think what yours is worth.

Good golly thats a bit optimistic, eh?
I'm no expert, but I wonder why you would want 1" wood cabinets in a trailer? Sounds unnecessarily heavy to me.

Not to my taste, but to each his own. But now, really: if you were going to advertize an Airstream for that much money, wouldn't you at least take the paint cans off the kitchen counter before you took a picture? And maybe put some flowers somewhere.........a plate of cookies, a tray of coffee...........

The thing is, anyone can put anything up for sale asking for any price. However, I believe stuff is worth just exactly what someone will pay for it, and not a penny more.

I'm guessing it drops further.
