62 feet and 11000 pounds of Aluminum Heaven?

in two trailers that is I have reached the Aluminutis dream...2 Airstreams Just picked up a 1980 Excella today. It is in pretty bad shape, not sure what I am going to do with it yet. But something will occur. The interior is about 2/3s gutted, running gear is shot and of course it leaks. But it's an AIRSTREAM!

Description familiar

wahoonc,

Except for the length and weight, the balance of your description sounds a lot like me.......gutted, running gear shot and of course, leaks!

Can you make one good coach out of two "clunkers"?

Nope they are both bad in the same places Not really but the interiors are not the same, and the stuff that is bad, for the most part is frames and plywood. We are toying with a couple/three ideas on the 80, one is to turn it into a rolling showroom for Prom season tuxedos,(take it around to the local highschools) another is to do a full custom interior in some exotic style and yet another is to modify it for storage and office space and use it on the road as a field office.(but then I would have to figure out how to tow both of them at once

somehow it seems that being from "Sovereign Sprung Leak, NC" is appropriate. You guys don't use many adverbs there, do you... (omg, incoming, Frieda! )

Don't need no adverbs... the main figure of speech around here is HOOOAH! then let the firepower lead the way

John,
If I made a pontoon boat I am sure the sucker would become a reef in no time from all of the shell leaks
