Have a happy and safe 4th.
If you play with pyrotechnics....be especially careful.
Thank you Scott, especially for those of us in the dry states. We are having some serious fire issues here in the western states - as recently seen in Tahoe with homes lost, and in Utah when the lives of three people were lost.
Even the "safe and sane" fireworks are not fire safe.
Dave
If you plan on using fireworks please stay out of the woods. We expect to be busy the next few day chasing down firework lighting.

We are offering a sigh of relief after a week of slow soaking rain that should somewhat lighten local fire fears. Around here, on farms, it's always the scare of setting off the wheat field or pasture land. At least for this 4th, in parts of the midwest, those fields are dampened for the first time in a while. Happy Birthday, America! ~G

WDCU. . .MALs no longer! What's a few miles among Airstream friends?
I wished a British friend a happy 4th. He informed me there is no reason for them to celebrate America's birthday. I then told him it is the perfect opportunity to commiserate over the loss of the Colonies. He seemed to brighten a bit at that. Yes, he is the stereotypical drunken & dissolute Englishman.
