1957 Overlander on European Ebay
Look what I just found... This ebay Auction is ending in about 4 hours and the price is up to 48,000 Euro!!! That is 64,000 US$...
Wow, that is way too much although it seems to be a nice remodeled Trailer...

The Frame is a new one, made for european regulations e.g. it has a hitchweight of 100kg... It has a Dolby Suround System and a TFT Display on board. The exterior has some show-lights and it has a custom Tent to put before the Trailer (is that a add-a-room or how do you say for that??). The Trailer surely it beautyful, but 64,000 US$ Is a lot of money!!!!

Very good restauration but no more vintage at all and a bit cold for my opinion... Too much perfect exterior; no more vintage Airstream too.
The red numbers are not really well found...

Ok, it was just sold for 48,049 Euro or 64,692.7 US Dollar!!!! For that money, I would buy a new one... It looks really great, but not for that money...

he waslucky to sale that at this price ... starting at 1,5 euro with no reserve price... hopfully the seller has good friends who have certainly made bids to increase the final price !!!! ( see the differents bids ).
For this price, I agree wit Pschoerrn... not a painted replica but a new one 'ld be better.

He has a feedback rating of 75%, not good to be getting all those bids. It is one thing to have the bids, quite another to actually get the money. The winning bidder has a feedback of 1.
It is made to look more like a newer CCD trailer, which I don't like.
He rehabbed it in 2006, after importing it in 2005, so he has done a lot in not much time.
He is also in Austria, a long way from most of our European Airstreaming friends.

I just recieved my AS from Florida, home to Norway. The shipping costed me $8400. It is a well-grown trailer, that didn`t fit inside a container, so there you have it... I also have to pay tax for it, before I can start the restauration and have it on norwegian plates. Anyway, I have seen newer AS on Norwegian markedplaces on the net, and the prizes are just unbelivable. I put mine down by the road where my parents live, and in about three hours, four cars stopped to look at it, and one of them went out and took a picture of it. (It really was in need of a wash too...) They are VERY special here in Europe, and if you can spend the money, and like camping, they are being more and more popular over here. I`m 27 years old, and still, I have only seen the total of two my whole life. The other one was on danish plates, and was used as commercial for a diet.

I just sold my 1962 Overlander to a gentleman from Germany. He comes over here once or twice a year, pulls them to Baltimore and loads them on a cargo ship.

I may need to check-in with this guy, as Gladys will eventually be sent over to the UK.

Hi Rampage;
A bit surprised by the shipping cost ... To France or Belgium... it's Half ...
Welcome in this new A/S world and a new adventure ( in restauration) begins now !
Bruno.
