What Year Is Your Motor Home?

I read these threads about motor homes and it appears to me that most of us own Classics on this forum. I wonder how many people participate in the forum who own a newer motor home and if so what kind?

Good idea, of course we could be dominating the threads because our classics are broken more often than the newer models

I entered 1983 as this was the year my 310 was CLASSIFIED as registered, However it was built, I assume in 1982, because the original owner bought it November 1982...... Ouch! trust me to put a spanner in the works!

VERY....VERY.... VERRRRY CAREFULLY!

I live in the middle of the worst 12 miles of main road in the UK!

It is narrow full of 90 degree bends, 1:4 hills small villages and 'Loads-o-Lorry's' (sorry trucks, err very big trucks at that...) going back and forth to the continent via the local ferry harbour at Poole on the South Coast, to the North of England. So yes, its challenging, but if I pick my times to "get out", the rest of the roads are not quite so bad.

One of the reasons for choosing the Airstream (I was also looking at the GMC, but that's another storey) was because of its width.

It very enjoyable all the same and we do have to for warn campgrounds we are coming.............. Clear The Decks!

Very Nice! I'll bet it is an adventure each time you go out! Happy Camping or is it Caravaning there.

Both! although Camping mainly refers to tents, Caravanning to trailer types. Motor homes are only just coming into their own now, although we had a motor camper 35 years ago. Some people call us motorcaravanners - how original is that!

Kent, thanks for the welcome, there are some VERY smart people on these forums, I have found some most useful info I have had the unit since May. My family is involved with Drag Racing, so, I have taken it to Bristol TN, Englishtown NJ, St Louis MO, and Martin MI (s. of Grand Rapids), all starting from sw ohio. Had an initial alternator failure, but other then that so far so good. I was lucky to find unit with only 24K miles, it had some sitting/aging, but I think, I have gotten past problems related to that. I put all new tires on it also. I had a (and still have for sale ) a 87 Winnebago Elandan, I like the lower profile, more aerodynamic coaches.

Picture from I-69 (south) rest stop just inside IN from MI today.
