Weep hole covers
When replacing weep hole covers--what do you do with the hollow (rivet?) on the bottom? Pull it out, drill it out, replace it (with what?)

I drilled out the rivet that held the weep hole cover in. When re-installing, I used a stainless screw so I would not break the little loop. I also use some 3M Super Weather Strip Adhesive as a mastic. A little dab will do ya.

I riveted mine on using a standard pop rivet.

Are we talking window frames here? (considering several other drainage hole locations; eg, C-channel -- but this is a moho subforum so I'm in over my head )

I used stainless steel rivets. It is doubtful any water will ever leak into the rivet hole and if it does the amount would be so small that whatever damage done would not be noticeable until I am poking up daisies.

Either method will work. Slightly less risk probably with screws, but not enough to worry about.

Where did you'all get your new covers? Did anyone ever find a source besides the $6 and $8 dollar one from Airstream? I need to replace about 75% of mine (missing or broken) and I know the new ones will look so good I will have to go on and replace them all but at three per window.... the bill gets hihg real quick.

Try Vintage RV at this link directly to the weep hole covers - both sizes. http://www.vintagetrailersupply.com/...12&Search.y=10 I've dealt with these folks, and been very satisfied. Watch the shipping charges at some other places .
Best,

there is a member here who makes these from a polymer, they look great and hold up well, I used them on my moho. Hopefully he will chime in at some point, or you might be able to search related threads.
