Very Cool Airstream Motorhome Video on YouTube...
I am an amateur at doing video presentations, but I thought you all might enjoy my try at putting one together of my 1977 Airstream Argosy 24' Classic.
Just click this link:
My motorhome is all original and in fabulous condition...
Enjoy! ...And please post a note here and on YouTube if you like it!
Best,

Well... the moho is gorgeous, and the video concept is excellent. The graphics design and placement are excellent. Now for the constructive criticism... Your transitions move too fast and too broken up... almost schizophrenic. There's not enough time for the viewer to recognize what you're trying to show in each "scene" before it destructs and then flashes something new which again quickly destructs... On a personal note, while others will undoubtedly disagree... I think the music is awful... I had to turn it off 30 seconds into your production. I'd suggest you find music that is less "niche" if you want your video to have a broader audience.
You're onto something really good here... I really like the concept!

I thought it was cool also but I agree it moves a little to fast other than that I liked it a lot. I didn't mind the music even though I am not the biggest of country fans.

Nice Argronski!
I agree about the speed of the change in photo shots . Too fast....but did not mind the music choice.

JB,
Good looking Argy...Yours looks like a time capsule re-opened. Just makes me yearn for the days of burnt orange shag carpet, avacodo appliances, and harvest god bathroom fixtures.
Good Job!

Thanks for having a look. I appreciate the comments, and will try to slow it down. As it is, it is over 4minutes long and I was thinking it might not keep peoples attention for more than that in a slower mode.
For those that would like to simply "mosey" through...here is a link to the individual photo album. You can go as slowly as you like:

Thanks again...Enjoy.

I like that song, & I'm not a country music fan. I've got a "Ken Burns effect" feature on my Mac that is less jumpy. Good effort.

Just saw this baby for sale in the Classified section. Great price for a great machine. Makes me think twice about the redo on my rig! Cheaper to buy yours.

Very Cool!!! I loved the video and IMO like the music. I love the 70's orange so much I wanted to paint the exterior of my Argosy Trailer Candy Orange.

The Question of Restoration...of this Classic
So...I actually bought "Lucky" sight unseen, from hundreds of miles away. I must say, that when I actually saw her for the first time, I was floored at the unmolested originality. All of a sudden, I was given pause to my original concept of "restoration"...you know...new carpeting or wood flooring, upholstery and the like...
This Argosy is so original and in such great condition...that it would be, IMHO blasphemous to do anything but maintain the originality as much as I possibly can within the confines of the original plan. Even the dreaded "Harvest Gold" carpeting steamed cleaned out nicely! And now, I am so attached to it that I was at a carpet store yesterday to try to match it so I could make a "runner" (no luck by the way)! And... the upholstery on the settees, barrell chair and cockpit chairs are amazing!
I have it in the classifieds for sale, but I am a very reluctant seller. I simply have a daughter going off to TCU in the Fall and the $ will be a helpful offset to the obvious costs of college.
If I can manuever a way to keep it, I would simply do some cosmetic upgrades like: restoring the felt in the cockpit windows...maybe some paint on the 454 Air Filter and some clean-up of the GenSet locker, and do some exterior paint clean-up and spot matching.
Your comments on "restoration" of this beauty would be appreciated.
Thanks all...
Best,
JB

Re: video music. Since part of the draw is that of retro-70's cool "harvest gold", etc.), might look at music represenative of then... 1977 - Diana Ross had a hit called "Love Hangover"... Fleetwood Mac - "Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow"... "Night Moves" - Bob Seger.. "Rich Girl" - Hall-n-Oats... "I Feel Love" - Donna Summer (for that early techno feel )... "Stayin' Alive" - Bee Gees... "Southern Nights" - Glen Campbell... "Fly Like An Eagle" - Steve Miller Band... "Blinded By The Light" - Manfred Mann... "Feels Like The First Time" - Foreigner... "Paradise By The Dashboard" - Meatloaf..."Hotel California" - Eagles... "Rubberman" - Spinners... "Car Wash" Rose Royce... "Barracuda" - Heart... "Carry On Wayward Son" - Kansas... "Go Your Own Way" - Fleetwod Mac...
Gawd, 1977...
Really like the way you managed the transitions between photos. Nicely done. Great idea for an ad. Good luck.

The Video Music Choice...
I appreciate the comments about the video and the music. I was limited in my musical choices by the program I used, and just chose the song that appealed to me most from a limited list. Although I am slowly getting the editing down, the whole music download thing has not been on my radar. I am on vacation this week and plan on figuring out how I can revise the music...and maybe edit in another song. Thanks again for all the great comments!
Best,
JB

That was really neat--both the production and the Classic. I can't believe what terrific condition it is in and original to boot. Incredible.
One note--the plural of tub is tubs, not tub's. Adding an "apostrophe s" does not make things plural, but possessive.
