vacuum system ques?

Just found a portion of the vacuum system I was unaware I had!

Looking for a water system drip in commode area and found the vacuum parts under the sink boxed area....cannot find any on/off switch but do have some unaccounted wires under front room table....does anyone know where the switch might be located?

Thank you, jem

Do you mean "central vacuum"? If so many of these turn on when you insert the vacuum hose into the wall socket.

not sure. See if you can get a model number from the vac, then start an online search or stop by your local vacuum repair store.

JEM,

The vac system is normally just the motor and blower. The bag was in the hose and handle. If you stick a normal vac hose in it the switch will contact and it will run, but without filtration. I had one in our 76 Argosy. The bags for the OEM "dust bubble" are no longer made. You might be better off retrofitting a really small shop vac into the space and using it if you want the central vac features.

Of course all of this only applies if it is like the one I had If it has a bag in the built in portion you can just get a hose and a few attachments

thanks for the info!

I guess I will convert the vac box to storage for more stuff! I have parquet flooring so a broom and a swifter does fine...jem
