Transfer Switch

Hi again, Mid 2015 I purchased a Power Max PMTS-50 Transfer Switch. The system worked very well until September last year when we could not get the system to switch to shore power,[ generator power worked ]. I have just pulled the system apart and found the shore activating coil melted in the open position.
I have been in places where the temp was just over 100 degrees but not for very long. Is the Power Max transfer switch a good system for the Airstream and if not does anyone know what I should be buying.
