Exclamation Towing a PT Cruiser

I am thinking of buying a PT Cruiser to tow behind my 310 using the Blue Ox or similar tow bars (all four down). Has any body used this car, and is there any issues regarding the automatic gear box?

I am using a KarKaddy at present with a Vauxhall Corsa and that works very well but we are over 54 feet long! The PT is heavier but by not using the KarKaddy and using the aluminium type tow bars, the weight should be about the same - give or take a pound or two- but overall length should be much less.

Thanks for your help

Thanks for that, I was under the impression that was the requirement. Trouble is the Co. that sell these don't answer email inquiries!

If your mate can shed light on where he obtained the Lube pump that would be marvelous.

Here is what I just got back:

The pump is made by REMCO. It is sold as a kit which includes the pump, the
tubing, and all the wiring required for the pump, the wiring for the brake
lights and the turn signals, and the wiring that installs on the motorhome.
Everything is powered from the motorhome, so there is no drain on the
cruiser battery.
Camping World is a Remco distributor.

Jim,
Thank you for your help. I am sorry I did not get back to you sooner.

I have now hit another snag! Having bought the PT Cruiser, (2006 model) I discover now that the base plate for the tow bars is for left hand drive PT's only, so now the quest for a Right Hand drive kit....

I will get there - sooner or later!

I suspect that you will have to have one fabricated.

Do you know Chaplin? that's a good idea..... I would love to move over, I just like the American way of life, (and those cute 230volt mains plugs!!?) but the missus well that may prove difficult - Grandchildren etc!

I have thought long and hard on this base plate. It would be good to see a left hand drive, plate and car then compare, possibly swap over each side?? but the likelihood of a LHD here is like hens teeth!

Thank you everyone, for all your suggestions
