The Lo-o-o-o-ve Camper is on eBay!

/Says the above in best Barry White voice.../

I just found the Lo-o-o-o-o-ve Camper on eBay! It is a 20' Argosy motor home, and the interior is, ahem, interesting. So's the paint job! Best of luck to him with his $13,000 Buy-It-Now price, eh!

eBay Motors: 1976 Chevrolet Argosy Camper 20ft RARE. Minty (item 130137149585 end time Jul-30-07 18:38:45 PDT)

Bit of an understatement...

Talking What's not to love about it?

If LA gives it the thumbs up its only a matter of time before us midwesterners catch on to its coolness right?

Yeah, I would think something would be catching, all right. Just probably not coolness...

You got that right! I'd feel squeamish until the CSI folks go through with their ultraviolet wands. Says something about the need for blackout curtains when you have so much beautiful glass!

Somebody went wild with the marker lights on the rear dome and rear sides. Pure d-ugly.

The sideways photos either were taken after a rollover or maybe that's just the way things look when you live way south of 46 N latitude.

Judging by the bus-style sign on the front I'd guess this is one of those rare airport shuttles - converted into a groovy pad! Great find

. . . and has custom back landing pad . . .

BTW, if it has been in "California for its life", why does it have a more recent license plate????

If memory serves, California is one of those states where the original plate stays with the vehicle as long as it's reregistered in CA??

It proves the theory that with a little time and effort, you can make almost anything look worse than it did.

I'll admit that it's very unusual. Not my cup of tea, but to each their own.

Whitelight,

You are correct, however the original license plate could have been damaged or faded or if the original plate was a commercial or personalized plate, it would have been replaced. Commercial is possible if it was an airport shuttle. The plate number is very recent.

Looks kind of like a garage band van... 4-piece with equipment would fit nicely in there for the road... someone could crash on the bench seat after a night of playin'... plenty of room to 'get to know' the local... uh... groupies during those breaks between sets... beats the heck out of an Econoline van...

Oh My!

I would have to wonder about someone with so few ebay transactions who has managed to accumulate negative feedback....hmmm.

Ya think!? Can you spell B-O-N-D-O boys & girls? Now how are we gonna match that color????
