we took the drapes to wash and what a disaster.the liners fell apart and now we are looking for replacement.so far it looks like we have to get a custom drapes place to copy the old ones,we have to getthe elastic hangers our self,they dont have it but available in ebay.can somebody recomend a drapes place in So.Cal?

There are a number of AS curtain specialists advertised in the Blue Beret. They already have the correct measurements for every AS. They ship the curtains and the elastic/plastic hooks. We have replaced all of the original curtains in our 1980 Excella II. We machine wash the new curtains and they have held up well and look great after re-hanging.

I don't know anyone in so cal, but I had drapes made for my '82 280 by www.jpadrapes.com. I'm extremely satisfied. She is an expert on Airstreams and does excellent work!

Drape sets are also available from Airstream, through a dealer.

Another possibility for drapes for your Airstream is Fowler RV Interiors of Symsonia, Kentucky. Arlene and Henry Fowler are true perfectionists and the quality of their craftsmanship stands the test of time. They created the drapes, upholstery, and refurbished the interiors of both my Overlander and Minuet. I continue to be thrilled with the quality and durability of their work.

Another possibility is a Forums member, Silver Threads, who has spent the past several years building a good reputation for quality and value.
