Need help with everpure filter replacement

I have a 1992 AS LY with an Everpure QC2 filter head. I never came with the original filter so I've been trying to find out what filter fits it. I did use an Omnipure ELF-1M filter. I did fit and didn't leak but was a bit a pain to get to mate up. Seems that the tangs that hold it in place a thicker than the filter intended for it so the plastic needs to be compressed a bit before it will engage. I know that AS used the Everpure filters for quite some years so I'm sure that others have an answer to which Everpure filter will fit my QC2 filter head.

This filter only is used on the drinking water faucet at the kitchen sink.

In case anyone out there needs to know, the correct replacement is:

Pentair Everpure model EV959201 ADC Quick Change.

Same filter that works in the QC-2 model also works in the QL-2 and QL-3

I purchased it through Amazon Prime. It cost $44.50 but came with next day free shipping.

I have a slightly newer model with same Pentair Everpure filter. Works great!! I also have a primary filter on my water line at the source that's usually good for about 2 months.

When I took my old QC2 filter off, it had a replacement date of 11/2002.

Yep, that filter seems to be the one that so many forget to replace. I do mine annually.

Thanks for reminding me to change that filter. Will search for replacement on Amazon today.
