Unhappy Motorhome Stepchild

Is it just me? I'm a noobie on this forum, but it seems like if you have an A/S
Motorhome, you are some kind of a stepchild. What is the deal? My former A/S was a 27 ft International Overlander, and I always thought all Airstreamers were created equal, but here on the forum I see much less for the guy who owns an A/S motorhome. Probably just me. I do appreciate Andy and his crew at Inland, as they have been extremely helpful.

Must be just you...Airstream MoHo's are very desirable to many here. While it is not within my current budgetary means I'd love to have one of those motorized silver bullets.

Kevin

It probably is a matter of numbers. Way more trailers were produced than motor homes so it is logical that there would be more information/discussion of trailers than motor homes.

Glad to have you on board no matter what you camp in...as long as it is silver!

One of my former employees was traveling on I-95 just south of Savannah while on business and when he returned at the end of the week he showed me a photo of a motor home almost identical to yours. His brother-in-law had an Airstream trailer at the time and this employee thought someone had made a home made motor home out of a trailer. He was so excited about it that he took several photos of it while he was driving. I let him in on the secret about factory made Airstream motor homes. He was still impressed by what he had seen.

Nice motor home BTW.

Mike,

Is the woodgrain paneling stock? It's kinda cool! I've never seen that before.

I believe it was just on the '83 coaches, I like it now, but years a go it reminded me of my parent's '55 Ford Station Wagon.

It's not just you, when I first joined I felt the same way. That this is mostly an Airstream trailer site. BUT! After following the forums for a couple years now,Minie's Mate is right, way more Airstream trailers than MH,but that doesn't negate all their years of knowledge and experience with the Airstream product that applies to us MH owners. I have found that knowledge quite valuable, making me feel not so much like a stepchild, but part of a very large family, with a little different personalty.

There is a border checkpoint north of here; a twenty-something officer looked at Bess, rolled his eyes, and said, "nice simulated wood trim".

You should have fired right back with a lisp, "Nice uniform"!
