Klattu, sorry I didn't get the chance to meet you personally at Topsail. I saw your rig but there were so many 'streamers that I didn't get to everyone. I had especially wanted to meet you since we are both AU Tiger fans. Maybe at the North Georgia Spring Fling in Hiawassee.

I'm glad to hear that. I think the VAC is very interesting and I also do a web site for the Region 7 VAC,

Now the VAC is an example of a sub group within WBCCI. There is no reason we can't do the same for Motorhomers. More later as it is probably going to happen and soon.

PM me if you're interested.

Airstreams are Airstreams in our view. All you need to do to understand is to scroll through the photos on the Can Opener Rally where MH's and trailers met together and had a marvelous time--ALL units were admired. Each fit the needs and pride of the owner and EACH was an Airstream. We loved having both the trailers and MH's together at the rally. Where else would we ever see so much of the Airstream story in one place??

Chummy turned vintage this year and he is Airstream badged. So we are no longer associate members of the VAC but actual members.

Check the Motorhome rally thread. Chaplain Kent and 2AIR have proposed something like that.

I agree that all current Airstream products are Airstreams. I, too was at the Can Opener Rally and was pleased to see the diversity among models present. It would have been nice to see some Argosies there too. But, all the units there were made by Airstream in the Airstream factory(s) and not by someone else in another brand's factory.

Call me a purist, but I just think putting an Airstream badge on another brand is no different than Honda putting the Honda Passport badge on the Isusu Trooper in the late '80's. It is not being honest to the consumer.

a/s trailer v mh v shiny v fiberglass

We have a real problem here. We fit in no nitch! We have an Airstream "Classic" motorhome; shiny alumnium, but it's a '94 (not old enough to fit the "classic" critiria. We have a BIG engine, but it's in the rear, a diesel, We have been told Airstream never made any like this...but ours says Airstream Classsic on both the front and the rear! We used to have a tiny, shiny ,1965 Land Yacht. So maybe the trailer guys would let us hang with them......Whaddayathink? Sandra K and 'driver'

Shinny Aluminum?
Thats an easy one.
You will fit right in...so well you might get lost in the crowd.

Of course your post is worthless without a photo!

Sandra: We don't know about Idaho, but if you're ever in California, we got a group you can hang out with. Sure would like to see a picture.
