MOHO parts

I was looking at an ad for a '79 MOHO. Looks ok but missing a door over generator. I've always been a little interested in them, how hard is it to get parts? I'm not sure I'll ever buy one, but I'd want to know part availability before I did. Trailer parts are hard enough!

I have not seen a lot of threads or ads for body parts. Running gear is easier, it's just a Chevy P30 Stepvan chassis so that is mostly what you shop for. I saw the ad that you are looking at, briefly considered it since I have a son near San Antonio, and figured that I would need to have a generator door fabricated at a sheet metal shop.

Like the above poster has stated, parts for the P30 chassis are very plentiful and cheap and since you're looking at a non tag axle rig, even better. The tag axle was an Airstream exclusive bit that for a while were very scarce.

As for the rest of the unit the only part that I know is impossible to find is the door lock; there is a replacement lock mechanism but requires some patching on the door as the new lock is smaller. Keep your lock well lubricated and it should last as it's a very heavy duty unit.

As for everything else, the skies the limit as you can replace the old air compressor with a new one or get a rebuild kit.

You can buy new front fibreglass lower sections, vent covers, etc, etc.

Cheers
Tony
