Hi everyone, if you have never gone to the Tampa RV Show, just know there is a reason it lasts a week. It will take you that long to get through it!!
Airstreams were inside on prominent display at the main entrance and the new Base Camp trailer was getting lots of attention. Its larger than it looks and very user friendly with multiple compartments. Definitely something for the younger weekend dry campers for sure.
While there I had the opportunity to speak with Justin Humphreys, Director of Marketing for Airstream. Super nice guy who is full of info on everything Airstream. After sharing a photo of my diesel Landyacht, had to ask him the question that been around here for awhile..........Is Airstream going to build another Class A motorhome? His answer....."maybe but not anytime soon". Instead they are working on creating "slide out options" for the current Class B Airstream Interstate models. Those should be out in about a year.
The classes were very informative and were part of the reason I had to return cause I missed the early RV Maintenance class first day. Other classes were on fulltiming, caravans, RV purchase, and towing/weight/requirements.
Was disappointed that none of the Airstream Clubs from Florida were represented or anyone from SMART. Considering both are on big membership drives, was surprised they did not have a booth.
