Steven

Do you have any idea how thick that flashing is?

Ken

One more question.... what did you use for the framing - is that maple or ash? I think it looks great.

Ken - thanks! I haven't mic'd the flashing it but its pretty thin. Probably 010. While the rivets hold it in place the adhesive really helps "stick" it to the old vinyl clad aluminum preventing waves and shimmies. I took her out on the highway today to see if the sheets had a lot of movement and they seemed pretty well secured.

The framing is clear pine. The flooring is maple.

By all means! I was secretly hoping to start a trend toward refitting CCD interiors

PM me i you have any questions about the installation. It takes a lot of patience but it's much faster than stripping.

Wow!

That looks really great.

I love the flooring too. Parden my ignorance but is it pergo? I want to do something like that in my trailer.

I also really like your couch. Does it fold out into a bed?

Good work.

Tim - thanks! The flooring is a Pergo like material. It's called UniBoard and you can buy it at Sam's Club for $1.10 a square foot.

Yes the couch turns into a bed. The back cushion does a flip over the bottom cushion and becomes the outside of a double/queen sized bed. We re-used all of the steel framing and hardware and have rebuilt the supporting wooden frame and working on the new armrests - just trying to acheive a better looking version of an already well engineered sofa bed. It also has three seat belts in there as well!
