Rivet In Memoriam of 87MH

Today, Sept 26th 2016 we lost our dear friend and long time forums Member Dennis Watermann aka 87MH.
I decided to post this here in the Motorhome forum, because Dennis loved his 1987 345, only to be surpassed by his Love for his wife Mary.
I was so lucky to purchase the 345 from him a few years ago and gave it some final touches to make it the beautiful 345 he always envisioned.
Dennis, you will be missed by many!
I know this is one of the many ways, you would want to be remembered:
Here, dear friend, is your 345 in its final Glory

Peter, I never had the privilege of meeting Dennis but I do remember reading various posts of his.

One thing I definitely remember is his signature line "Suck it up, spend the bucks, do it right the first time."

He sure had that one right!. I'm truly sorry to hear of his passing

My condolences to his family and friends; also sadness to the Airstream family, that we have lost an experienced owner operator.

May he travel in the hereafter, in peace, with no leaks.

Cheers
Tony

Condolences

Condolences to his family
I have read many of your post
and you have helped me on several occasions
I'm willing to bet that he had a wealth of knowledge about the 345's that we will never be able to access anymore. I bet he also takes with them a few stories good and bad About the machine.
I am still but a rookie at this airstream motorhome thing. Although I did not personally know him, I wish I did.
For anybody who has an affinity for this machine
I consider a freind of mine.

Dennis,
I will forever remember the first time I met you and Mary at the Blanco Christmas Rally. We sure had some fun times at those rallies. We will all miss you.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.

We first met Dennis & Mary two years ago at the Blanco Christmas Rally. Last year PeterH asked that my wife and I help out with the rally due to time conflicts Dennis & Mary had. I was looking forward to seeing him again this year.

My condolences.

Godspeed.

I enjoyed Dennis' post, he was so kind to send me some needed materials without a return address on the package. No way to repay him.

I have tried to 'pay it forward' because of him.

Thank you all for your posts. I'll make sure that Mary sees this. They have been my neighbors at Texas Airstream Harbor and I'm honored and grateful that I had a chance to know Dennis. He was an amazing man and I'm still heartbroken to think that he is gone. He was constantly going up and down our street on a golf cart, tractor or lawnmower and could always be found right up front whenever any project was going on around the community. He was a great friend and lender of many tools and much advice. I did what I could to return the kindness and often helped him out of computer problems.

My husband, Dennis Watermann

Tonight I sat down and thought that I would search on the forums for some pictures of our 78 Soverign Airstream travel trailer. I am so very touched by all of the kind words and thoughts of Dennis. Dennis was the love of my life and my very very best friend. He suffered a heart attack at home on lake sam rayburn, which he dearly loved. He loved his retirement and we were never happier then when we were here. My life will never be the same, my heart is so so broken, I will carry him with me always in my heart. Thank you all again for your kindness, I will always remember all of you.

I remember meeting you both here in Georgia at Cloudland Canyon, with our small rally. Sorry for your loss. He was a fine man.

Condolences Mary and friends.
Its clear that you have made many good friends while doing some streaming rallies.

Hopefully as you work thru these big changes in your life you will find a way to continue to enjoy some of the gatherings you both so enjoyed.

There are probably many that would be glad to give you a hand getting set up and then ready to go on your way after sharing fun times with you celebrating past times and continuing to build new good times together.
