I still don't get it. Were the tires stolen off the rims? How can that happen to this degree? That must have made one hell of a noise!!! How could they have not noticed? Sparks at night and noise during the day. I know I look into my rearview mirrors especially if I think that the tow vehicle is pulling hard.

Umm, no, they were dragged until the tires were burned off the rims, then the real fun started.

Tinsel Loaf,
I too think I would have noticed that something was wrong, some of us are very vehicle sensitive if you will. My DW is actually better at noticing things out of the ordinary with our trucks than I am. A warranty mechanics nightmare BUT! I actually saw a car being driven down the road in my town by a woman who did not realize the front wheels had been stolen! She drove it to the corner gas station and complained the steering didn't feel right! DOH!! What scares me is there are a lot of people out there like that, and some of them obviously drive 500hp 35,000# diesel pushers! Gee Gertrude did you feel a little bump back there, no oh well and down the road they continue with a Ford Focus stuck in the grill

How do you explain that one to your insurance guy without sounding like a moron. I bet the transmission is going to need some work as well!

Back in the 70's we were at a small 4H horseshow. This 16 year old kid, who just got his license, pulled out of the show, pulling a horse trailer. Problem was, he forgot to put the horses back in the trailer. Both horses were tied to the back of the trailer. Funniest part was, his father was riding in the passenger seat, waving to everyone, unaware.

I believe that truck is now what I would call a 'parts car'. Not sure it would even fall under the catagory of 'rebuilder'.

Anyone remember this?

Several years ago a couple had a flat on their toad, they did not notice it. The sparks from the wheel started a forest fire. The couple were sued by the forest service for $1.8 Million, the cost to put the fire out. Does anyone remember how that turned out????

Silly me - I thought the new Fords only threw sparks while parked in your garage overnight!

OK - I'm a GM guy!

Seriously - that is quite a picture!

Regards,
Henry
