I never seen such airstream motorhome

A friend of mine, send me these pictures of an Airstream motorhome, and ask me if I have some interest to purchase it. Asking price is $2,000 CAND ($1,500 USD) from the scrap yard owner. It seems that the drivetrain and motor are still working.
This motorhome was drive from a campground site to the actual location (suburban of Montréal Canada) by is own two years ago… I few weeks this Airstream will be destroy for metal reccuperation.
I do not know the status of the interior.
This is the last chance for this motorhome for a major work for somewone!
Michel

That does not look like any motorhome made by Airstream. Looks like a homemade rig that took an Airstream trailer and mounted on a truck chassis to turn it into a motorhome.

Unless you need a hobby...
I think it is a home built. Bet titleing and registration would be a chore.

From memory there was company mounting trailer bodies on Ford truck chassis before Airstream launched the Argosy motorhomes.

They come up occasionally on eBay, and get posted in the motorhome forum, normally with a single bay window as the front screen. This looks a little different having several side windows mounted vertically as a windscreen.

Either way it's not an Airstream built motorhome, rather a motorhome built from bits of Airstream!

What's really neat is the location of the rear view mirrors. The drivers station must have been set back quite a few feet from the front.

That windshield looks like it came from a city trolley train.

The non-red numbers are 4350 - wonder if anyone can research that and find out more info on the owner/maker?

Fascinating!

The mirrors are there for any "backseat" drivers.

She's a brute....er, beaut.

You can see the steering wheel set back inside there.

She's an old Sovereign that's been cut to fit.

I think you are right!
Attached a closeup zoom of the curb side of the motorhome. The Sovereign and Airstream plate is visible with the word "LAND". Michel

Fascinating, in the same way that it's hard to look away from a horrendous train wreck.

I'm afraid I'd just call it "The Disastermobile" and let the junkers crush / melt it. Yikes!

They should use it in the next Mad Max movie.

This could have been featured in a Mad-Max movie.

Actually, that is really cool! Someone needs to go get that and make an awesome rig. Driver seat set back to make room for the engine. Make a hell of a food truck!

atDoubt if the driver's visibility from that seat would pass DOT/DMV muster . . . too many blind spots IMO.

Looks cool tho' !

The only way that would be cool, would be if it was front wheel drive and a second motor/controls were install at the back to make a pushmepullyou!
