gasoline smell after fill-up

I only notice this after I'ved filled up, then after burning off fuel it goes away. This time I filled up so that there would be minor condensation due to weather, and since I haven't burned it yet, it reeks like petrol in the rear of the MH.
I read a post by Peter that his did the same and it was a missing nut on top of the tank. How tough is it to reach? I think this may be a mechanic's job, or i should try not filling to max next time.

You have to drop the tank. Get it taken care of yesterday.
It could just be the return line at the filler spout. Since that hose is hard to find, its often replaced with a non gasoline resistant hose, which only lasts a few years.
Don't wait, this is a very dangerous situation!!

Hi,
I had the same problem after filling up.
After much searching ,it turned out to be the filler neck vent tube.
The vent tube is sweat soldered in side of the neck a couple of inches down from the cap.
It had cracked where it was soldered to the larger filler tube.
It looked like someone in the past had damaged it when installing possible a replacement hose?
I removed the complete upper assembly from the hoses and re soldered it.
Problem solved
Hope yours is that easy
It's hard to believe such a small crack can cause such a BIG odor
