Electrical problems on '89 airstream 345

My owners manuel says there is a ac electrical fuse box in rear of mh. I can not find it anywhere does anyone have a idea where it may be? Also none of my outlets work on generator power, is this normal?

Keep in mind alot of item's located in one 345 isn't necessarily the same in someome else's 345. On my particular 1990 345LE the fuse/breaker box is located under the kitchen drawers, where my convertor is. I've read here on the forums of others speaking of a rear box, though.

Providing circuit breaker isn't tripped the 110V outlets are always hot when generator is running or when plugged in to shore power.

My LY has house circuit breaker box under bed, however it has a house 12v fuse box near doghouse behind drivers seat on floor. Having said that most problems I have had tracing wires is that you will find a fuse in line for a number of things far removed from it's electric source and sometimes far from it's component part. The generator has fuses at the generator. Inverter has a receptacle and fuse. Probably good idea to make a note when you find a fuse, maybe even try to discover what it is connected to, eventually all will be found.

The '86 'Silver Bullet's' breaker box in the back over head roll-up door cabinet over the rear bed on the passenger side, close to the middle.

If they work on shorepower then it's not your breaker box, the relay from the generator is not transferring power. Does your air conditioner and inverter work from generator?

Hey mater4, your question intrigued me as I also have a 1989 345 LE. My manual on page H-66 shows the breaker box (Y-1) right next to the power cord reel & not under galley cabinets. My page H-67 states there is a 6 position rotary switch to select which appliance will receive the 110 volts AC. My MH has neither of these. Maybe AS didn't update all the diagrams with each new years' design.

If only 1 outlet didn't work I'd say check the breaker. If none work there might be a connection problem at the Energenius (univolt). I'm assuming the outlets work on shore power? Does the fridge work on genset & AC? How about the A/C units? If fridge & A/C's work, but not outlets, start looking for power with a tester at the breaker box. check before & after the breakers. PO might have rewired w/o outlets so they could use on 20amp circuit at home (guess). Also check for power at the automatic switchover relay box. It feeds 2 circuits. Maybe you have 1 bad contact there.

Posting these findings may help us diagnose the problem further.
