Curved ceiling panels in Bath and shower

Has anyone ever removed the curved ceiling panels in the center shower/bath in the 345? Are they aluminum and can they be removed without taking the front axle out ? The vinyl is starting to show a lot of wear, would love to update it.

In the commode room, the vinyl is laminated to wood on the walls and to aluminum on the ceiling. I removed all the vinyl on the walls and now I am in the process of applying acrylic venetian plaster. The acrylic Plaster does flex and will not crack if applied over properly prepared surfaces. Eventually, I will just apply a sheet of exterior Aluminum to the ceiling, once I get a big enough piece.

Just a little Plaster made a huge difference and getting rid of that old vinyl did change the smell that is so typical with the vinyl and the adhesive.
