Guess I should have added rediculous to the title.
But you gotta love the sky deck and umbrella.
Actually a pretty good rig for going to the races.
Once you get some jacks under the back, so you don't roll the thing over.

What is this?

I have seen a lot of pics of rare Airstreams but, I have never seen one of these. Any body know the history of this?

I don't know if the owners of this motorhome participate in Air Forums so I'll tell you the little I know. I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong.

This is a one-off product. I think it's on an early 2000's Ford E450 chassis with the V-10 engine. The (now) owners saw it on the production line when it was being made and immediately made plans to purchase the prototype. Airstream made some modifications for the owners to tailor it to their needs. I think it has one slide on the drivers side.

Airstream representatives recently alluded to an upcoming new motorhome that will be suitable for long-term travel - presumably something larger than the current 24 foot Interstates. Perhaps the motorhome seen in these pictures you posted is a hint of things to come.

I'm liking that coach too! Nice size, clean body style, uncluttered paint scheme.
May be lacking some Windows, but realy attractive.
Funny they sold it before even finishing it, yet have we seen any more come out? Nope.
Reminds me of our cloesest market in Hanalei, when asked why they stopped Carrying a popular product. They said with a shrug we just couldn't keep it in stock. Haha what are they thinking?

Cheers Richard

This may be stretching "cool and unusual," but I just spied this old VW camper on Eastern Long Island NY. The top looks like it is as old as the VW, as if the whole rig was sold this way IMO. The skylight over the rear did look newer.

Does anyone recognize this as some kind of European camper maybe? There were no stickers of any kind on the back of the van. Sorry I did not have time to stop and chat.

That is a neat bus you posted OTRA15, would be interesting to learn more about the fixed top.

I came across a mother load of quirky motorhomes on my other favorite forum today (pelican Parts a Porsche site )

I'll start with a a very capable off roader
Quite the snorkel, I guess the driver would use scuba gear

I can still only post one pic per post, probably a good thing as I do like images.

Or if you are more into sports cars, you could carry your Ferrari in the belly of this coach.
