Classic Airstream

I was at the Kennedy Space Center for the November Shuttle launch. One of the firemen at the center who is a friend of people we stayed with snapped this picture of the crew getting ready for the ride out to the shuttle. Thought it worth posting. Notice the shiny silver object behind the crew!

Nice to get the whole reason for being front and center. But why are those orange-suited folks standing in the way?

Thanks for posting this!

There is a great article in the last Airstream Life about this particular coach. It makes for good reading!

We had a close encounter of a kind back a while ago. NASAguy posted 2 times but gave us the low down on the Astrovan and other Airstream Moho's in service to NASA.

I'm in Florida, in my 28' AS FC...does that make me an Astronaut?
