Bring home inoperative Airstream Classic motorhome

We have a 36' 95 classic diesel pusher motorhome that needs a ride home. It had a fire in the front end is not drivable. The drivers area is completely destroyed.

It's sitting in Mexico and now, with the insurance worked out, they will let us pick it up. It needs to be moved from Mexico to our home in Alberta and it's not drivable. I'm looking for ideas on the best way to get her home. Looking forward to starting the restoration.

Thanks in advance.

The first thought would be a low boy trailer but crossing 2 boarders will be a problem.

Have you considered rail? Does Canadian Northern go into Mexico

I would look to a International freight forwarder for ideas

May even me worth looking into Roll On/Roll Off from Mexico direct into Canada and avoid the US border all together.

Bring home inoperative Airstream Classic motorhome

Unless you enjoy misery, I'd can thus idea and source a better example closer to home, unless its free and the fridge is full of money and bourbon.

Mexico is a big place. What is the closest 'town' to the burned AS?

It's home now. Time to start the rebuild. Thanks for everyone's input. We ended up hiring a trucker from home to drive down and pick it up. Cost a little but its worth it to have it home.

I really don't want to sound morbid but how much damage was done and how did it start?

Next question......without a donor vehicle and there isn't many out there; how are you going to find parts like the dashboard?

Post pics and maybe we could help find things for you.
