accessory step

Could anyone direct me to a source for an accessory step for a 1976 Argosy MH? This certainly would hepl my father enter our MH easier. I would prefer not to carry a step stool for this purpose. Thanks a lot. I am learning so much from reading this forum!!!!!!!!!

Also, from reading about the outside step, it would seem that Argosy installed an automatic step when opening door somewhat later than 1976, since mine seems to be manual, retracting with a metal lever. Could anyone give me some background on this feature?

I'm no expert by any means, but it seems like most I've seen have automatic steps.
Mine has a vacuum operated step actuated by an electric switch on the door jamb, seems like yours should have this also unless someone removed/modified it.
Maybe someone will chime in here and add their experance.
I have also seen steps that are totally electric.
