Question 345LE Step Repair

Hi! Anyone know of where repair parts for a double step gear box can be acquired? I've already located replacement options at Airstream, but would like to rebuild the gearbox myself.
My unit is a 89, registered as a 90 model. Thanks for any help!

Colaws RV Salvage in Missouri has used steps, you would have to contact them about price and shipping: KWIKEE SERIES 42 DOULE STEP FOR SALE @ COLAW RV PARTS CARTHAGE, MISSOURI - Colaw RV Used Parts

There is also a "Classic motorhomes parts and salvage" thread here with other leads, http://www.airforums.com/forums/f311...e-88887-7.html

Have you opened up the gearbox yet Bikerman?
I had an experienced RV guy help me with mine. And once opened it became clear that flipping a gear, replacing a pin, or some such was all it needed. I've been thru so Many other repairs in the meantime I don't remember the details clearly.

Only that it was not difficult once in there. Working well since.

Cheers Richard

Thanks for the help! I've only accessed the two top gears, will dig into it some more this week to see if I can flip it.
