1988 345 airstream spot light

The controls joystick to my spotlight broke. Anyone know where to find replacement parts for the spot light?

I would PM Bobmiller1 as he replaced his spot lamp but not sure of the controls he used.

Also try Brad (bkahler) who may have the control set out of the 345 he stripped for parts.

Cheers
Tony

Unfortunately the 345 spotlight parts are long gone. Sorry.

Jim, you might want to send Bob a PM as he may not be subscribed to this thread which means he won't see your reply.

Brad

My control seems to be wired backwards for the UP / DOWN portion. Would it be as simple as reversing the blue wire with the white, as seen in the photo above?

Have you tried removing your control, labeling all wires, removing it, and then disassembling it, clean it, reassemble, and install?

No, but I did take it out, and reversed the outermost wires and it works correctly now!

Astrodock, great news!

Jim Keaty, have you tried taking it apart and cleaning internal switch contactors?

I have the switch, but it's wired up. fully operational and not for sale. However, happy to have a look and send you some photos if you are interested in how it is all connected. PM me if interested. It wouldn't be for a couple of weeks when we next go camping.

Thanks for the offer. I actually have the switch and it's all hooked up but the joy stick does not work much and I also hit the joy stick with my head and broke the plastic washer and nut. B

I took out the spot light switch to try and clean it and it all fell apart. Does anyone happen to have this switch for sale?

Spot-lite control

I found this on the Marinco-Guest site, control panel that may work.

Just FYI - We refer to our spot-light as our 'Squatching" light. (As in Sasquatch/Big Foot) Someday we're going to catch a picture of that Guy crossing in front of our Magic Bus and follow him with the joystick !
